What We Believe

"The Bible  is not just a book of information, but a revelation of the heart of God and His eternal purpose for humanity." - Bishop Tony Miller

Core Beliefs

At Restoration Church, our beliefs are firmly rooted in the timeless truths of Scripture. Everything we teach and practice flows from the foundation of God’s Word, revealing His Kingdom and His heart for humanity. We believe the Bible calls us to live in the fullness of God’s grace, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and grounded in the New Covenant established by Jesus Christ.

God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. God is holy, just, and loving, and He desires a personal relationship with each of us through Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

1 John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, resurrection, ascension, and His future return to establish His Kingdom in its fullness.

John 1:1-2
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

Acts 1:9-11
Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers with spiritual gifts for ministry, edification, and service. We embrace the fullness of the Spirit’s work, including praying in the Spirit, prophecy, healing, and other manifestations of God’s supernatural power.

Acts 2:16-17
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, infallible in its original manuscripts, and the ultimate source of truth for Christian living.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, called to live in unity and love. We are a Spirit-filled, non-denominational community of believers, called to bring revival and transformation to our region and beyond.

Ephesians 4:15-16
But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

1 Corinthians 12:12
For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a gift from God, not earned by works. Through repentance and faith, we are born again into a new life in Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit to live in victory.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Romans 10:9-10
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The Kingdom of Heaven/God
We believe the Kingdom of God is both present and future, manifesting in the lives of believers today through the power of the Holy Spirit and ultimately fulfilled in the return of Christ. We are called to live as Kingdom citizens, bringing Heaven to Earth through our faith and works.

Luke 17:21
Nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.

Matthew 6:10
Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven
The Return of Christ
We believe in the victorious return of Christ and the final establishment of His Kingdom on Earth. Our eschatology is rooted in the belief that the Kingdom of God is advancing today.  We believe that God’s work unfolds continuously through Jesus Christ, without dividing history into distinct dispensations

Acts 3:19-21
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Revelation 21:1-2
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
A New & Better Covenant
We believe in the new and better covenant established by Jesus Christ, which surpasses the old covenant through the grace of God. We live in the reality of this better covenant, which brings freedom from religious legalism and allows for a personal relationship with God through Christ.

Hebrews 8:6
But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
